It was genuinely a joy to meet Grace and an honour to do her maternity shoot. Grace really is one of those people who really is ‘full of Grace’ and just lovely to be around. We had so much fun during the shoot and this is what I love about maternity photography – by the time people come back with their tiny new baby it feels like you’re already friends and that makes the newborn shoot even more special!
It was a delight to photograph this little girl. Hope was one of those lovely, gentle little souls who was wonderfully content and so easy to work with. Hope breezed through her first ever photo shoot and we ended up with so many beautiful images.
Alexander was just 7 days old when we met and his parents brought him all the way from London for his newborn photo shoot. He was such a good baby the entire time and we managed to capture so many lovely images – I especially love the one where Alexander is being held in his Dad’s hands: curly baby, big hands – always works well!
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph little Annabelle. From the moment she arrived to the moment she left she was a perfectly content and happy little girl. Here are just a few of the images we managed to capture – so many expressions!
Emma wanted some relaxed, natural pictures taken of her lovely black lab, Jensen. Although the weather was pretty grim on the day we’d arranged to meet I knew we’d capture something so we first spent a little bit of time at home (waiting for the worst of the rain to ease off) and then went for a walk in the woods. Photographing solid black dogs can be challenging at the best of times but on a dull afternoon in November even more so! Thank goodness for the low light capability of professional cameras and also for such a lovely and …more
The first time I met Nikki was when I photographed her during a business portrait session for the Carter Jonas team in Bath. We got chatting and I found out that Nikki had just returned from a holiday in Dubai – with a very beautiful new ring on her finger. I was so pleased when Nikki asked me to be their wedding photographer and when she told me that the wedding was to be held at the beautiful St Audries Park in Taunton I just knew it was going to be a great day. I didn’t meet Christian until about …more
Rob and Esme are a really lovely couple and it was a great pleasure to be a part of their day. Their wedding was one of those events that you dream of shooting as a wedding photographer. The reception was held at Esme’s parent’s beautiful country house on the outskirts of Bath in, what has to be, the most stunning marque I have ever seen. A gift from one of the guests was the arrival of a helicopter part way through the proceedings, which whisked the bride and groom away for a celebration flight over Bath and the surrounding countryside. …more
Barry and Helga created a classic English wedding with a touch of African hospitality. Helga is from Zimbawbe and lots of her family and friends travelled over for the big day. Everything about the wedding was perfectly styled and Helga had spent many hours making much of the detailing and decoration herself. The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the beautiful old Shustoke Farm Barn and this single venue approach always helps the wedding party to relax and have a great day. The weather was perfect and everyone was able to mingle in the beautiful courtyard, dotted with …more
I was introduced to Kate through a mutual friend and delighted when she and Mick asked me to take their wedding photos earlier this year. Mick is originally from Bristol and they wanted to create a small, intimate family wedding, which was a little bit different. They chose Bristol as the location, were married in the Bristol Registry Office and had a drinks reception in the Brooks Guest House. They then surprised everyone (including me) with a surprise river boat trip, which took the wedding party to the Riverstation Restaurant for their wedding breakfast. It was, without doubt, one of …more
When I was asked to undertake a business portrait session for the Richmond based Basis Technologies I was delighted to learn that the portraits were to be taken at a strategy event held at the very beautiful Cliveden House. This is a great example of how natural light (daylight) can be used with great effect to create contemporary and very natural business portraits. The warm stone walls of Cliveden House created perfect backdrops for the portraits and enabled us to introduce a little variety, whilst still retaining a consistent look and feel to the images we took.
