A Boudoir shoot is something you should take time to prepare for and is the perfect excuse to shop for new lingerie, shoes, stockings and jewellery. I will send you plenty of information before the shoot, which will explain my approach to Boudoir in detail and will help you to feel prepared and ready.
Whilst we will talk and email a number of times before the shoot I will have no pre-conceptions about what format the shoot will take. Every shoot is unique and my role is to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera and guide you through the creation of a series of really beautiful images. Each and every woman expresses herself differently and my aim is to capture what is unique and personal to you.
You will almost certainly start the day full of nerves but by the time you hair and make-up is finished you will be looking and feeling fantastic. Boudoir is not something which can be hurried so shoots often take between 2-3 hours. You will bring along a change of up to 3 outfits and your hair and make-up will be styled and re-touched as the shoot progresses.
Once your images have been edited I will contact you so that I can arrange to show them to you for the first time. Whilst I love and embrace the flexibility of digital photography I firmly believe that beautiful photographs aren’t only for albums or, worse still, to be left forgotten on computers or hard drives. For this reason I will also encourage you to mount and frame some of your favourite pictures so that you and your loved ones can continue to cherish them for many years to come. I work with a small range of album, frame and canvas suppliers who produce a beautiful range of traditional and contemporary options. I will show you a selection of albums, frames, mounts and canvasses so that we can choose the products that are right for you.
