My love of horses began at a very young age and I was lucky enough to learn to ride and grow up surrounded by ponies in the way that every pony mad girl dreams of. Adult life took me away from horses but I am delighted to say that my photography brought me back. Equine photography is a rapidly growing field, but I think one that can only be mastered by those who have a genuine affinity with and love of horses.
As a one-time horse owner I am always drawn to these beautiful animals and, as a photographer, my aim is very much to capture the special bond that exists between a horse and it’s owner. Equine photography is a real pleasure for me because I think horses are such beautiful animals – in all their shapes and sizes. When you combine that beauty and grace with the very obvious love and respect from a devoted owner it’s one of the most rewarding forms of photographic work I undertake.
