My equine shoots generally last about two hours and often begin in and around the stable or yard. My style of equine photography is relaxed and gentle, and the aim is very much focused on capturing the relationship that exists between you and your horse. Although it’s sometimes possible to complete the entire shoot in the yard and surrounding paddocks we may choose to shoot at an alternative destination of your choice. We will catch up beforehand so that we can talk through the best locations and what you’ll need to do to prepare. Please contact me so that I can send you my equine photography preparation sheet and my full price list.
Some of your shoot will be with you simply leading your horse in it’s bridle and this is when we will capture some of the more tender moments between the two of you. I will also take a little time out to photograph some detail shots and close up images of your horse as these often create the most memorable photo compilations.
Once your images have been edited I will contact you so that I can arrange to show them to you for the first time. Whilst I love and embrace the flexibility of digital photography I firmly believe that beautiful photographs aren’t only for albums or, worse still, to be left forgotten on computers or hard drives. For this reason I will also encourage you to mount and frame some of your favourite pictures so that you and your loved ones can continue to cherish them for many years to come. I work with a small number of album, frame and canvas suppliers who produce a beautiful range of traditional and contemporary options. I will show you a selection of albums, frames, mounts and canvasses so that we can choose the products that are right for you.
