I remain an all round photographer but decided (many years ago) to specialise in newborn baby photography. I photography tiny babies in my dedicated newborn studio on the border of Hampshire and Berkshire and it’s something I absolutely love! I originally trained as a wedding photographer (and I still love shooting weddings) but I realised early on that it was never going to be right for me to become a ‘wedding only’ photographer. I love the variety of what I do and feel sure that the endless diversity of photographic work I undertake keeps me inspired and almost certainly means that I will never stop learning.
Whether I’m photographing a couple at the altar or a tiny newborn baby, the principles I follow are often the same and people are always at the heart of what I do. Over the years I have developed a style of very natural and warm photography and I’m drawn to simple, bold, honest imagery. In my experience, hardly anyone likes having their picture taken and I know that the best images are captured when people are allowed to forget about the photography, relax and simply enjoy a moment. I always work hard to make sure that my shoots are relaxed, fun and enjoyable.
