I’m based just south of Newbury so probably only about 30 minutes from the centre of Reading. I am one of the few people in the region to specialise in pure, white, contemporary newborn photography. I have a very recognisable style of baby photography and have photographed 100s of newborn babies.
For a very long time I was purely a newborn baby photography specialist. Most of the babies I photographed came to my studio within the first few weeks. The ideal time for newborn photography used to be within the first 10 days. My style of photography has evolved now and it’s much more relaxed and natural. This means that it’s no longer critical to bring your baby to my studio within the first few weeks.
The Covid-19 lockdowns made me realise that I needed to start photographing older babies as well. So many of my clients missed out on a newborn photoshoot so I totally changed what I did! I photograph babies of all ages in much the same way now and it’s probably the best thing I ever did! This new style allows me to make the baby the primary focus of each photograph. There are no fussy props or outfits to detract from the beauty of the baby. My style is simple and honest and I think is much more natural.

However, many of the babies I photograph are still very much newborns and it’s a magical little window I absolutely love to capture.
